Saint Anthony Maria Claret, the Founder of Claretian Congregation, was born in Salient, Spain, on 23rd December 1807. He lived as an inspiring child, artistic youth, textile industrialist, and caring physician, merciful father, lover of the poor, humble missionary, unassuming Arch bishop and thus a man on fire with God’s love. St. Claret Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Thiruninravur was established in the year 2002 by the Claretians. The patron of the school is St. Antony Maria Claret. He worked for the upliftment of the poor, the down trodden, the neglected and the people who had no identity. He believed in the transformation of the society through building the youth and the unemployed. Education as one of the means to achieve this goal, the school serves the local children by giving them the best and holistic education. Though the school was started with 12 children, it has grown now to 1641 children from KG to XII standard in the academic year 2017 - 18.
